The only sensor missing that I have seen on other units is PIR (passive infrared) however, I did find a battery operated PIR sensor with a relay contact that could be plugged into the AUX socket if you needed this on the .uk web-site. I could not find details of this on the web, but were supplied the information by Hahnel customer support on request. The AUX input is a 3 connector 3.5mm jack plug the bottom being common, middle a switched contact normally open or normally closed (you can set this in the unit) and the tip being a 3V voltage sensing input. Both the trigger and the IR transmitter take standard AA batteries so this is a good thing! Have not used any of the triggers except the laser at the moment to capture water droplets and this worked very well once I understood that you can also move the sensor relative to the drop release to have minor changes in timing beyond the delay that can be set in the unit (seems obvious I know). With further additional receivers this expands even more, so as I said a very flexible system.
Using an additional receiver you can trigger either a camera or a flash and with an additional transmitter you can remotely trigger the camera or have the camera remotely trigger the flash. This unit has a timer, sound, light, Infrared beam (IR transmitter included), Laser beam (laser pointer NOT included) and Aux triggers (more on this later). I did a lot of research before I invested in a trigger system and I found that the Hahnel Captur gave the most flexibility.
I think it should as a minimum include a cable so you can use it without additional purchases.
